We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to join our thriving Construction team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a strong background in the construction industry, specifically with experience in utilities, public work, underground, pipeline, excavation, shoring, trenching, traffic control, DOT, and sewer work. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Responsibilities:
As a Project Manager, you will be expected to:
1. Oversee all stages of project life cycle management, including initiation, planning, execution, control, and closure of construction projects.
2. Manage and coordinate with team members, subcontractors, and all relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
3. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasts, ensuring all projects are delivered on time and within budget.
4. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including DOT regulations.
5. Oversee the excavation, trenching, and shoring processes, ensuring all work is carried out safely and efficiently.
6. Manage traffic control plans and procedures, minimizing disruption to the public.
7. Oversee the installation and maintenance of utilities, sewer systems, and pipelines.
8. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
9. Resolve any issues or problems that arise during the project, ensuring minimal impact on project timelines and budgets.
10. Prepare and present project reports and updates to senior management and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Project Manager position will have:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the construction industry.
2. Proven experience in utilities, public work, underground, pipeline, excavation, shoring, trenching, traffic control, DOT, and sewer work.
3. Field experience or a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering.
4. Strong understanding of construction processes, methods, and materials.
5. Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
6. Knowledge of federal, state, and local construction regulations and standards.
7. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
9. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with team members, subcontractors, city officials and stakeholders.
10. Proficiency in project management software and tools, Microsoft Suite and HDSS
