About the Job
A leading energy services company based in Maine is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to oversee the development and implementation of general contracting and energy services projects. This role involves managing all aspects of assigned projects, ensuring successful execution and completion within the designated scope, schedule, and budget.
Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring all phases are executed effectively from start to finish.
- Client Coordination: Lead construction meetings with clients, manage expectations, and handle customer change requests.
- Scheduling and Procurement: Coordinate project scheduling, procurement, materials delivery, and site work. Manage all subcontractors and vendors involved in the projects.
- Documentation: Prepare and manage project documentation, including meeting minutes, contract amendments, subcontract quotes, and change requests.
- Communication: Maintain clear and ongoing communication with company management, office staff, clients, subcontractors, utility representatives, and vendors.
- Business Development Support: Assist the business development team in the execution of projects, working closely with internal and external design teams.
- Quality Assurance: Document and verify installations, create punch lists, and manage work to completion. Ensure project performance requirements are met and only approved materials are used.
- Final Documentation: Manage the creation and submission of as-built drawings and documents upon project completion.
- System Commissioning: Collaborate with subcontractors and owners to ensure successful commissioning of all systems.
- Financial Oversight: Process billing worksheets and participate in monthly Work-In-Progressreviews.
- Safety Management: Develop site specific safety programs for each project and conduct regular on-site safety meetings.
Qualifications:
- Minimum OSHA 10 certification required; OSHA 30 preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge in mechanical, electrical, building controls, HVAC, and lighting systems. Familiarity with current Building & Energy Codes.
- Proficiency in MS Office Professional, particularly Word, Excel, and MS Project.
- Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- College degree in Engineering is highly desired, but equivalent job experience will be considered.
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification is a plus.
- Must have strong presentation skills due to the nature of the clients which the candidate will be interacting with.
- Job requires a lot of regional travel (30-50 miles) within local office based in Maine
