Job Description:
This role will oversee projects at the Long Beach Civic and Long Beach Courthouse from their planning phase through their financial close. This person must be well organized, can learn and understand different contract methodologies, maintain great relationship with clients, plan necessary work while responding to corrective issues with an efficient and creative approach.
How you will do it
- Develop conceptual plans and budget for facilities projects
- Provide Lifecycle planning efforts for fiscal decision making
- Coordinate project completions with building occupants, vendors, and existing sight staff
- Prepares requests for proposals and conducts all necessary meetings to facilitate project execution
- Permitting process, collaborating with City/State Inspectors for approvals
- Monitors and reports all phases of project execution
- Coordinates all parties involved to maintain project completion timeline
- Collaborates in peer-peer conversations regarding project execution in the P3 structure
- Conducts pre and post project meetings for recaps when necessary
- Maintains building drawings with Architect of Record to maintain current drawing status
- Monitor and troubleshoot assigned systems
- Generate monthly and annual reports related to assigned projects
- Meet with clients on a regular basis to review site operations
- Meet internally to review bid documentation to ensure O&M services are covered
- Collaborate with Lifecycle planning efforts

- Knowledge of building codes and standards of practice.

- Knowledge of supervisory practices and principles.
- Skills in reading and interpreting plans and specifications and to compare them with construction progress.
- Skills in both verbal and written communications.
