About the Job
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Commissioning (Cx) Project Manager to lead the commissioning process for mission-critical projects, with a primary focus on hyperscale data centers. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of construction and commissioning processes, particularly MEP systems, and demonstrate expertise in managing projects from initiation to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the commissioning process for mission-critical projects, ensuring all phases are executed per industry standards and project requirements.
- Oversee the commissioning of MEP equipment in hyperscale data center environments.
- Manage end-to-end project activities, including scheduling, cost estimation, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with design, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure seamless integration of all systems.
- Implement and adhere to the five phases of commissioning:
- Design Phase: Review design documents and provide input to ensure commissionability.
- Construction Phase: Monitor installations and prepare for system testing.
- Pre-functional Phase: Perform pre-functional testing and check system readiness.
- Functional Phase: Conduct functional performance tests to validate system operation.
- Post-occupancy Phase: Provide post-occupancy support, including training and performance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and client expectations.
- Prepare detailed reports documenting commissioning progress, findings, and recommendations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates on project milestones and addressing any concerns.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction or commissioning-related fields.
- At least 5 years of direct experience as a Project Manager commissioning MEP equipment, particularly in hyperscale data centers.
- Proven track record of managing commissioning for a minimum of three (3) mission-critical projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, cost management, and resource planning.
- Comprehensive understanding of the five phases of commissioning.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in commissioning tools, project management software, and data analysis.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certifications such as Certified Commissioning Authority (CxA) or Certified Energy Manager (CEM).
