Responsibilities

Creates project plans including, defining scope, budgets, timelines, identifying and securing staffing and other resource needs, prioritizing tasks, defining strategies, identifying and documenting technical and business needs, developing risk mitigation plans, and ensuring project objectives meet the defined business requirements.
Executes project plans by managing and overseeing staff assignments, leading meetings with the project team and end users, defining technical solutions, and engaging external vendors as necessary.
Manages and controls planning and execution of the projects activities and resources to ensure that established cost, time and quality goals are met, including engaging Senior Management for issue resolution.
Communicates project plans by coordinating efforts with other work units and projects; leads project team meetings, provides status updates, and ensures that documentation requirements and formats adhere to corporate standards.
Coordinates project activities and process definition with the Project Management Office and other departments as necessary to improve project team performance.
Takes a lead role with, consultation, and mentoring to other project teams and the Project Office
Create project level risk and issue management plans. They will coordinate and produce project level resource reports.
Establish and monitor program or project priorities, objectives, and procedures, determining area objectives, targets of service, and resource needs allocation.
Provides recommendations for improvement of project management processes currently in use.
Provide effective leadership, team building, and meeting management as outlined in PMBOK and the client leadership competencies and values.
Demonstrate a very high level of ability, motivation, and attitude in leading a team and a project to a successful conclusion.
Effective and compelling communication, including the use of effective listening, with all stakeholders including team members, sponsors, management, and senior management.
Apply economic analysis techniques and business acumen in project decision making and ensure alignment of project and company financial goals.
Utilize Agile/Waterfall approach to managing projects

Skills:

Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to transfer information easily to team members, stakeholders, and senior managers
Strong technical knowledge in IT infrastructure and application domain
Experience creating and managing comprehensive project plans utilizing PM flows and tools
Experience performing scope management for projects, including a disciplined change control
Experience performing issues management across multiple departments
Experience creating and executing Implementation plans
Strong results orientation, with a focus on quality and attention to detail
Effective time management and prioritization skills
Highly proficient in MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
Desire for meaningful work and real responsibility

Strong interpersonal skills

Education and Experience:

8+ years of Project Management and people leadership experience in an enterprise IT environment, preferably in the financial sector required
Bachelor s degree in computer science or related field from an accredited university preferred
ITILv3/v4 required
PMP certification required
