Project Manager with Specific Experience in Payments, Clearing and Settlement (PCS) Resolution Planning and Derivatives and/or Collateral Resolution Planning
Knowledge & Experience
•Extensive knowledge and experience in the Financial Services practice. Experience supporting top tier Global Investment Banks.
•Experienced in the development of Resolution capabilities and in the enhancement of resolution requirements across Payments, Clearing and Settlement (PCS) following regulatory feedback.
•Experience in Derivatives and/or Collateral Resolution Planning
•Understanding of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) Title 1 (165d) and Insured Depository Institution (IDI) Rule requirements to identify potential gaps and limitations.
•Knowledge of playbooks for material Financial Market Utility (FMU) memberships.
•Project Manager Experience supporting Resolution Planning Initiatives. Experienced PMO (all Strategic PMO functions: tracking open action items and milestones, meetings, minutes, etc).
•Knowledge and Experience in Transformation Projects, Risk Reduction, Process Improvement-Optimization, Change Initiatives and Regulatory Compliance.
•Experience in drafting playbooks in response to Recovery and Resolution Planning Requirements/ resolution scenarios.
•Experience in designing end-to-end business process maps including key controls.
•Good understanding of what is a control vs process, knows what a good control looks like
•Have conducted gap analysis of control environment for regulatory compliance
•Able to provide opinion/ SME advice for interpretation of rules based on facts
•Extreme attention to detail, careful documentation, presenting to senior stakeholders
Responsibilities:
Work with Major Global Bank Project Managers in the following responsibilities:
•PCS current state assessments, identification of gaps, operating model, governance framework, and testing plan.
•Support in the generation of PCS Project Plan and its socialization/presentation to Stakeholders to obtain and incorporate feedback. SME advice on the PCS Assessment Results.
•Review of playbooks for material Financial Market Utility membership.
•Documentation of identified gaps and limitations with the FMU Playbooks.
•Analyzing resolution plans data and summarizing results into user-friendly views.
•Conduction of gap analysis and coordination with lines of business to remediate critical gaps. Interactions between business units.
•Support in generation and documentation of PCS target operating model and enhanced governance framework.
•Identification of potential areas with opportunities for streamlining ownership and governance.
•Support with documentation of a testing plan for PCS capabilities.
•Definition with stakeholders a proposed set of periodic capability test and work in development of a FMU capability testing plan.
•Provide recommendations for enhancement with prioritization and estimated timelines, based on lessons learned through the pilot testing.
•Generation of PCS training and transition materials. Produce closure documents and artifacts.
•Experienced Project Manager Strategic PMO functions as tracking open action items and milestones, summarizing, formally documenting, and distributing meeting minutes to stakeholders and coordinating meetings.
Qualifications & skills:
•C14 equivalent
•Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Master's degree
•10 years plus Financial Services /Banking Experience
•Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level.
•Strong understanding of Risk Management structures and roles and responsibilities across 3 LoD and Client's Risk and Control environment is a strong plus
•Demonstrated analytical skills with follow-up and problem-solving capability
•Ability to analyze a process and recommend ways to improve quality, controls, and efficiency.
