Associate Manager Extern, New Verticals (Strategy & Operations) (6-month externship)

About the Team:
The New Verticals team is expanding client s business to convenience, grocery, and retail. This role sits within the Convenience GM team, which focuses on providing convenience delivery through third-party partnerships like Walgreens to our consumers. Our mission is to build client into every person's favorite way to shop for convenience items and the preferred platform for every convenience partner.
About the Role
We're hiring an Associate Manager Extern, New Verticals (Strategy & Operations) (temporary externship for 6 months) for the Convenience GM team. In this role, you will become our expert on the convenience merchant market, defining sales strategy to continue expanding our partnerships, and driving merchandising and marketing initiatives to ensure partners succeed once on client. You will work with Business Development, Marketing, Finance, Ops, and Data Science teams to find the best merchants to bring onto client and help them (and client) mutually succeed. You will report into a Manager on the Convenience GM team in our New Verticals Strategy & Operations organization. You're excited about this opportunity because you will... Strategize. Develop the strategy for growing our local merchant partnerships. Operate. Figure out how to get from A to B... then actually make it happen. Analyze. Create SQL data analysis and use data to identify and activate important merchant partners and markets. Lead and collaborate. Work with a team, including partners in marketing, product, policy, and operations, to build these new strategies and processes for local convenience. Experiment. Run tests and scale insights. Embrace the challenge of having multiple paths forward and no right answer. Growing a business in a competitive market will not be easy.
