Position: Project Manager - High-End Residential Interiors
Client: Leading General Contractor / Construction Management firm in New York City
Compensation: $120,000 - $160,000
Location: New York, NY (ONSITE)
Work Authorization: US Citizen or Green Card ONLY
My client is a mid-sized General Contractor and Construction Manager specializing in super high-end/luxury custom residential renovation projects throughout Manhattan. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing their own custom townhouse, apartment, or penthouse projects in New York, upwards of $10MILL in value, and be capable of leading project teams.
The successful Project Manager - High-End Residential Interiors responsibilities will include:
- Cooperate and collaborate with all project contributors and stakeholders. Design team, clients, Property managers, field teams and co-workers.
- Managing the day-to-day field activities to ensure schedules are met and stakeholders are aware of project status.
- Managing and coordinating all work to ensure that it is constructed in an orderly and deliberate manner, consistent with contract commitments and stakeholder expectations.
- Direct management of Project Manager and Project Superintendent on site
- Determine and Manage pre-construction activities. Read contracts,, sub-contractor scope of work and cooperate with Estimating, Purchasing and internal project team to prepare for each project.
- Development and management of project schedules using MS Project and Procore
- Organize and host weekly meetings with sub-contractors, internal project team, and Client/Project contributors on a weekly basis
- Managing changes in project scope. Compile, submit and administer change orders. Evaluate/Communicate cost and schedule impacts.
- Prepare and manage submittal and procurement process. Prioritize and distribute submittals via Procore.
- Provide weekly status reports
The ideal Project Manager - High-End Residential Interiors will have:
- Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management/related field a plus
- Experience as a Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager for a General Contractor in NY, specifically with luxury/high-end/custom home experience
- MS office, MS Project, Sage and Procore experience
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees, inspectors, owner/client representatives
- Effectively sets priorities and meets deadlines
