Commercial Pool Construction Project Manager
Location: Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach
Salary: $100,000 - $130,000
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented full-time Commercial Pool Construction Project Manager to oversee and manage commercial pool construction projects from start to finish. This on-site field role is essential to ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate all phases of commercial pool construction projects, including permitting, excavation, steel installation, gunite application, plumbing, equipment installation, and startup.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk assessments.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, vendors, and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and strong relationships.
- Monitor project progress and provide real-time updates to stakeholders using project tracking tools for milestone visibility.
- Address and resolve project challenges promptly to minimize delays and disruptions.
- Manage subcontractors and construction teams, ensuring adherence to project specifications, safety standards, and quality expectations.
- Collaborate with the estimating team to forecast project billing and manage financial planning for upcoming projects.
- Facilitate planning and scheduling for future job starts, optimizing workflow efficiency and resource availability.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of proven experience in commercial pool construction, including managing large-scale projects from start to finish.
- Technical Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety regulations specific to pool construction.
- Blueprint Proficiency: Strong ability to read, interpret, and apply blueprints and technical drawings to guide project execution.
- Leadership Skills: Exceptional leadership and team management abilities, with a proven capacity to guide diverse teams effectively.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Project Management: Advanced organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple priorities and ensure project milestones are met.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with construction management tools and software for planning, tracking, and reporting.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred. A combination of education and work experience may also be considered in lieu of degree.
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license is required, with the ability to travel to project sites as needed.
