Intertek is searching for a Project Manager to join our Building & Constructionteam in Tampa, Florida. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in Building Science Solutions.
What you'll do:
- Obtaining and reviewing available public information and relevant technical data.
- Coordination, scheduling and execution of on-site inspections, including scoping and budgeting collaboration with clients.
- Collection and preservation of field collected data and physical evidence, when authorized for the same.
- Assist in the preparation of clear, correct and concise expert reports for use in claims handling and/or litigation support.
- Maintenance of files, records, photographs, etc. in preparation for, and response to, subpoenas.
- Assist with generating, proofing and issuing quotations/proposals.
- Assist with quotation/proposal follow-up.
- Assist with the coordination of marketing efforts.
- Assist with opening projects and organizing assignments.
- Assist with billing and collections efforts.
- Follow and enforce safety requirements and company policies
- Maintain brand identity in accordance with department and corporate requirements
- Assist in maintaining, reviewing, editing, updating and inventorying resumes and project profile sheets
- Review/edit PowerPoint presentations
- Create organized billing from spreadsheet data
- Grow client relationships through positive interactions.
- Assist with client visits / industry events as needed
- Assist with other department and administrative tasks as requested
What it takes to be successful in this role:
- 10+ years' experience in forensic work, preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent, required.
- Consistent and professional interaction and communication are required with clients and project teams
- Must be able to demonstrate solid organization and communication skills, both in written and verbal forms, with many different types of people, including the handling of sensitive and confidential information
- Strong computer and technology skills are required, including but not limited to Microsoft Office
- Excellent project management skills, with demonstrated ability to meet fast-paced and dynamic deadlines
- Must be able to maintain attention to detail and adaptability in a fast-paced environment working alone, as well as with teams
- Physical condition must permit carrying up to 50 pounds, bending, crouching, and ladder access to roof levels - Experience on scaffolding, aerial booms, confined spaces, etc. are pluses
- Willingness to travel to job sites if needed and as appropriate, must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen
