We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Project Manager who will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific projects, ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals. This role involves managing and leading the team responsible for the construction of Federal, DoD, and Government construction projects. This is an extraordinary opportunity for a seasoned professional with a proven track record in managing federal construction projects and a deep respect for the rules and regulations governing these projects.
Responsibilities:
1. Plan and implement large projects, including setting project goals, creating detailed plans, managing project schedules, and budgeting.
2. Direct and manage project development from beginning to end.
3. Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
4. Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
5. Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
6. Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
7. Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
8. Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
9. Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
10. Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
11. Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management in the construction industry, with a focus on Federal/DoD/Government construction projects.
3. Proven ability to manage all aspects of a successful project throughout its lifecycle.
4. Proficient in project management software, MS Office Suite, and construction management software.
5. Proven experience in people management, strategic planning, risk management, and change management.
6. Ability to work on tight deadlines and within constraints.
7. Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
8. Knowledge of process improvement and lean techniques.
9. PMP or equivalent certification would be considered an asset.
10. Ability to travel as needed.
11. Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
