The Exterior Remodeling Project Manager with a focus on windows and exterior doors plays a vital role in overseeing and managing exterior remodeling projects, with a specific emphasis on windows and exterior doors. This role encompasses project management responsibilities along with the critical tasks of measuring and ordering windows and doors. The Project Manager ensures that projects are executed efficiently from planning to installation, with precise procurement of materials. Work may include management of windows, doors, concrete, painting, siding and roofing.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Window and Door Measurement and Ordering:

   • Conduct accurate on-site measurements for windows and exterior doors.
   • Collaborate with suppliers to select and order windows and doors that meet project specifications.
   • Maintain detailed records of measurements and orders, ensuring precision in procurement.

2. Project Planning:

   • Work closely with clients and sales teams to understand project requirements and objectives.
   • Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets, including the window and door procurement process.
   • Create detailed scopes of work, identifying necessary materials, labor, and equipment.

3. Team Coordination:

   • Assemble and manage project teams, including skilled labor, subcontractors, and suppliers.
   • Assign tasks, set expectations, and provide guidance to team members.
   • Foster effective communication and collaboration among project stakeholders.

4. Budget Management:

   • Monitor project budgets and expenses, ensuring cost control and efficient resource allocation, including windows and exterior doors.
   • Prepare cost estimates and diligently track project expenses, including materials procurement costs.
   • Address any budget discrepancies and implement corrective actions as needed.

5. Quality Assurance:

   • Ensure that all exterior remodeling work, especially windows and doors, adheres to industry standards, codes, and client expectations.
   • Perform quality inspections and promptly address any defects or issues.
   • Implement and maintain quality control procedures, emphasizing windows and exterior doors.

6. Risk Management:

    • Secure necessary permits and approvals for exterior remodeling projects.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2. Proven experience in project management, including expertise in window and exterior door measurement and ordering.
3. Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and building codes related to windows and exterior doors.
4. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
5. Proficiency in project management software and tools.
6. Ability to manage multiple projects, including precise material procurement, concurrently.
7. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
8. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry.
