Sev1Tech is searching for a Project Manager with experience in building and improving IT systems while managing project strategies and customer expectations. The Project Manager will support the implementation, operation, and improvement of meshONE-Terrestrial (T), a scalable, resilient, cyber‐secure data transport network supporting United States Space Force (USSF) and Air Force (USAF) missions. Work location will be hybrid, working at least 3 days/week from a Sev1Tech office in El Segundo, CA, and working from home.
meshONE‐T is the ground component of the larger meshONE concept and will eventually integrate with the Air and Space components of meshONE to provide an end‐to‐end network solution across all mediums, environments, and warfighting domains.
- Provides technical expertise to the meshONE-T Service Strategy team in accordance with existing procedures, applicable laws, and government requirements.
- Manages complex strategic projects while coordinating with network architects, network engineers, IT specialists, cybersecurity engineers, software engineers, systems engineers, and systems administrators in the execution of duties.
- Implements government programs through a risk and oversight approach for all phases of program activities; identifies risks and issues, proposes solutions, and provides timely and accurate contract deliverables.
- Coordinates with government customers to identify growth opportunities and align expectations with technical capabilities.
- Develops and interprets policies in specific program areas, and provides leadership, coordination, and authoritative advice to Space Systems Command (SSC) leadership, resulting in the formulation and execution of progressive and comprehensive programs that meet mission objectives.
- Directs, administers, and evaluates meshONE-T programs, policies, and procedures in the required program areas.
- Explores opportunities to improve meshONE-T technical, cost, and schedule performance, and presents findings in customer meetings.
- Assures compliance of program activities with laws and regulations.
- Ensures the effective management of the assigned program areas.
Salary Range: $140,000 to $150,000
- Minimum of eight (8) years of applicable experience listed in the roles and responsibilities
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or other similar degree; without the Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years will be required
- Experience managing complex IT enterprise network projects and/or programs
- Strong oral and written skills able to talk with technical subject matter experts, government civilians, and military personnel of varying rank
- Excellence in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Outlook, etc)
- Travel: 25% to Sev1Tech and Government customer locations, as required
SECURITY CLEARANCE: Top Secret Eligible
Desired Qualifications:- Contracting or Purchasing experience on an IT contract
- Experience with an IT network design team on an ACAT 1 program
- Customer-facing people skills
- Problem-solving and multi-tasking abilities
- Patience and attention to detail
- Prior military experience is a plus
