Job Summary and Qualifications

Position will lead, support, coordinate and manage construction and remodel projects of varying degree of complexity. Takes projects from design through completion, providing advice and assistance to all levels of staff and management groups to facilitate resource planning and meet regulatory requirements. Determines support, direction and/or strategies necessary to solve significant problems related to successful project completion. Provides regular schedule and budget updates indicating project performance.

Position will coordinate vendors for door operators, nurse call, pneumatic tube system, and others that are a function of construction coordination and facility usage. This is to maintain the coordination of these systems under one responsible person for both construction and maintenance.

This position requires knowledge of growth and developmental needs of patients and families. Personnel in this position must recognize and respond to the behaviors of patients and families in each age category. The employee must be able to demonstrate the special skills required to care for patients and their families according to standards. (The skills and knowledge needed to provide such care may be gained through education, training or experience.)

What qualifications you will need:

• Must possess undergraduate degree, engineering (mechanical or electrical), architecture or construction management preferred
• Five years actual construction management experience preferred
• Must demonstrate knowledge of International Building Code, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) criteria and Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA)
