We are looking for a passionate and driven Project Manager Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and supervising all aspects of electrical control systems, machinery, and processes. This role requires a deep understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLC) and a strong ability to troubleshoot and solve issues that arise in the course of a project. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver who loves a good challenge and can work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
Responsibilities:
As a Project Manager Controls Engineer Opportunity your duties will include:
- Designing and developing control systems and implementing them into our existing machinery and processes.
- Working collaboratively with design engineers, operation engineers, purchasers, and other internal staff to understand the project requirements and contribute to providing solutions.
- Reviewing and understanding automation, machinery, and processes to ensure they are functioning correctly.
- Troubleshooting control systems and machinery, identifying issues, and providing quick and effective solutions.
- Creating and maintaining documentation for all projects, including design, development, testing, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Ensuring all machinery and processes meet safety regulations and guidelines.
- Providing training and support to the team members and other staff on control systems.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in PLC programming and control systems design, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong working knowledge of electrical design principles and safety standards.
- Proficient in PLC programming languages, such as Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagram, or Structured Text.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues effectively.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex systems in a clear and understandable manner.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
