Asplundh Engineering & Asplundh Construction, LLC (ACL) are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team. This role involves a combination of engineering and project management responsibilities, with a focus on substation, electric, and civil projects. The successful candidate will work across various locations within our service territories with a primary focus in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast regions of the US.
Remote (Preferable Atlanta or Baltimore)
Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Management: Lead the planning and execution of substation engineering projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with project timelines and budgets.
- Team Coordination: Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including engineers, technicians, and contractors, to ensure seamless project integration and delivery.
- Client and Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, providing regular project updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Technical Oversight: Review and approve engineering designs, plans, and specifications to ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client requirements.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project continuity and success.
- Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, control costs, and ensure financial resources are allocated efficiently and effectively.
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality control procedures to ensure project deliverables meet or exceed standards and expectations.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all project activities comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations, including environmental and safety requirements.
- Progress Reporting: Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management, clients, and stakeholders, highlighting project milestones and addressing any issues.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance project delivery and performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing power delivery projects, specifically in substation engineering.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to substation engineering
