This is an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager who wants to work for a patient first organization that strives to really make a difference in the healthcare industry. This individual will be working within has a very servant leadership mindset. The Project Manager will be responsible and accountable for delivery activities for multiple projects for our client, delivering in a hybrid approach comprised of both Waterfall and SAFe /Agile delivery models. The role is responsible for planning and scheduling project activities overseeing projects, risk, and issue management, and providing communications for multiple levels of the organization, including Executive Leadership.
The focus of this Project Manager will support multiple projects within the Clinical Application Portfolio area. This Project Manager will be supporting a more Senior Protocol Project Manager in the Protocol Portfolio who will be focused on the more strategic areas of project management. This PM will be focused on projects related to clinical protocols (operational workflows), pharmaceutical and billing services.

Responsibilities will include the following:
- Build and main project schedules in MS Project.
- Bringing new users into protocols and supporting the Protocol portfolio.
- Use Jira to track projects and ensure progress as well as overcome roadblocks, etc.
- Build dashboards in Jira.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders within IT and Business to clearly articulate scope boundaries and quantify business value to be delivered.
- Represent the project in various governance and inter-departmental forums.
- Manage all aspects of the project lifecycle and oversees project delivery within clients SDLC Framework.
- Manage project scope, schedule, and budget, to ensure IT commitments are met within established time, cost and quality parameters.
- Publish project charter and staffing plan.
- Create and maintain the project schedule.
- Process project change requests as needed.
- Develop and implement project communication plan.
- Regularly reports project status.
- Serve as the single accountable party to manage and report upon project budget.
- Validate financial forecasts from lane leads.
- Track actuals spend, accruals and forecast spend.
- Publish monthly budget forecasts.
- Manage variance between planned and actual spend.
- Manage budget contingency.
- Approve project labor.
- In partnership with lane leads, maintains project staffing plan.
- Proactively manage project risks, issues.
- Identify and resolve blockers raised by project team.
- Appropriately escalate project issues to Project Sponsor, PMO Leadership and ultimately to IT Sr Leadership as needed, to keep projects on-track.
- 7+ years of project management experience in a leadership role
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Project management professional (PMP) accreditation or equivalent Project Management certification (Certified Scrum Master, SAFe, etc.) is highly preferred
- Significant amount of experience working with JIRA dashboards
- Proficiency in working with Confluence.
- Experience using Microsoft suite of tools including MS Project
- Willing to learn and able to communicate under high pressure situations.
- Assertive and have the ability and comfort level to meet with multiple Sr. Level team members and insert themselves as needed.
- Needs to have a strong background working within a SDLC environment.
- Experience working within an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Experience in the following areas:
- Writing project charters
- Dealing with financial aspects of a project (accruals, calculating estimates at the completion, CAPEX, OPEX, employee labor, contract labor)
- Managing scope, schedule, and budgets of projects
- Defining budgets, defining schedules, forecasting and project governance
- Change management and handling PCRs
- Reviewing project budget and project variances with key stakeholders
- Soliciting updates from various business lanes
- Being a Servant Leader (examples of supporting project team, listening to project team, building trust)
- Proven ability to build strong, long-term professional relationships, based upon trust and respect
- Managing project blockers
- Highly polished executive presentation skills (meeting with executive team members)
- Excellent ability to communicate at all levels in a clear, confident, concise manner.
- Comfortable collaborating with Sr IT Leaders and Business Executives to define, plan and deliver complex projects
- Experience using an Enterprise PPM (Project and Portfolio Management) platform
- Ability to quickly earn the trust of project sponsors and key stakeholders
- Strong influencing skills
