We are a leading development consulting firm who for the last 60+ years has developed a high-standard and reputation throughout the Western United States. We continue to grow and are looking for a proactive, problem-solving Project Manager who will be responsible for land development projects from the concepts through construction.
The ideal candidate is an experienced and ambitious Civil Engineer or Project Engineer who can develop, plan, coordinate, and lead civil engineering and land development projects within the agreed-upon budget, timeline, and scope, from the conceptual phase to final construction. They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members while collaborating and leading cross-functional teams. Civil Engineers or Project Engineers with ambitious career goals and a desire to be in management and leadership positions with future growth opportunities are preferred.
Responsibilities |
- Lead and manage several civil engineering and land development projects from the conceptual phase to the final construction.
- Lead and manage cross-functional teams of civil designers, entitlement specialists, etc.
- Manage and develop new and existing relationships with several clients.
- Coordinate with government entities and other agencies or partners to complete necessary project approvals (rezone applications, etc.)
- Set project timelines and budgets and monitor project deliverables.
- Update relevant stakeholders, clients, or team members on the project progress.
- Coach, support, mentor, and train project team members.
- Provide civil engineering design support for projects as needed.
- Participate in leadership meetings and support business executives in implementing business growth and improvement plans.
Qualifications |
- S. or higher degree from an accredited civil engineering program.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Utah (or ability to obtain Utah licensure within six months).
- 4+ years of civil engineering and design experience.
- 2+ years of project management and team leadership experience is preferred.
- 4+ years of Civil3D experience.
- Experience working for a civil engineering firm between 50 and 250 employees is preferred but not required.
- Experience working on commercial, mixed-use, and infrastructure development projects is preferred but not required.
- Experience collaborating with city entities (e.g., city planning commissions, city councils, and county or state infrastructure departments) is preferred but not required.
- Comfort with learning and leading in a fast-paced, high-intensity work environment.
- Strong verbal, written, organizational, and leadership skills
