Project Manager - Civil & Electrical Design
Site Acquisition, LLC (SAI) was founded in 1999 to provide site acquisition services. SAI quickly migrated to offer a full complement of services for the wireless telecommunications industry. We are seeking Civil & Electrical Designers to work in our Salem, NH office. These candidates will be responsible to design EVSE, Energy Storage and other projects.
The Project Manager must be a self-starter, understand technical details of putting architectural and construction documents together. Must be proficient with site development and the in development of construction documents, including drawings and specifications for technical projects. The candidate needs to be independent, professional and needs to take minimal instruction to go forward with projects or project components. Shall have the desire and ability to understand full project scope from design through construction.
Responsibilities include:
- Must be able to manage several projects at a time
- Must be able to manage multiple drafting resources and personnel.
- Will be responsible for project scheduling, quality and budgets.
- Will be required to develop and monitor internal financial budgets to assure that projects are completed profitably.
- Responsible for assisting in leading multiple members of a team.
- Responsible for leading and developing detailed design and production of construction documents.
- Proficient in developing specifications and perform material, product selection and research.
- Proficient in producing tenant development work.
- Proficient in space planning.
- Perform code analysis.
- Assist with conceptual input on assigned projects.
- Responsible for monitoring of scope, schedule and budget on architectural aspects of projects.
- Responsible for developing architectural work plans and tasking, supervision and mentoring of assigned project personnel.
- Responsible for construction phase shop drawing review and assembly of requests for proposals, change orders and closeout documentation.
- Proficiency in use of CADD, REVIT and/or other programs.
- Participate in the firm’s QA/QC program by serving as architectural discipline checker for assigned projects.
- Provide assigned collateral duties relative to the operation of the team.
- Develop production standards.
- Perform site visits and project measuring as required.
- Perform other related work as apparent or assigned
Required Skills and Experience:
Engineering and Technology - Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
Design - Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
Mathematics - Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
Administration and Management - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
Excellent Communication Skills – Able to give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times as well as convey information effectively.
Complex Problem Solving - Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
Judgment and Decision Making - Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
Coordination - Adjusting actions in relation to others' actions.
A professional degree in Architecture, Engineering or Design and a minimum of 5 + years of experience is required. Professional registration as an Engineer, Architect is preferred.
