Project Manager

Chicago-based construction company specializing in new and retrofit self-storage buildings, RV storage parks and other related project types. Projects are located throughout the country. We are a young company with excellent growth potential in a dynamic business. This is a ground-floor opportunity for a motivated individual to grow with us.

Responsibilities:

• Review and become familiar with contract documents
• Inspect and become familiar with jobsite conditions
• Perform value-engineering and submit RFls to architects and engineers
• Prepare scopes of work for each trade and prepare bid packages
• Solicit, qualify and level subcontractors' proposals
• Negotiate and issue subcontracts and purchase orders
• Manage contracts and change orders during construction
• Prepare monthly draws
• Project administration and communications (RFls, submittals, progress billing and reports)
• Interact with clients, architects, engineers and local jurisdictions

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of relevant commercial and/or industrial project management and estimating experience including conceptual budgeting
• 4-year degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or equivalent.
• Extensive knowledge of industry practices, procedures and market trends
• Detail oriented, well organized and able to plan, prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects
• Proficient with Outlook, Excel, Word, Procore and ability to adapt to accounting and scheduling software
