Title: Project Manager
Duration: Full Time, Permanent
Location: 100% Remote
Responsibilities :
- Perform and support publication and project management related activities. Coordinate, edit, and proofread presentations, reports, summaries of projects, guidelines and other content as assigned, and according to a schedule of deliverables; following established guidelines, responding to reviews and assuming responsibility for production oversight as directed. Edit and proofread reports, analyses, research, or other publications and/or products. Edit, proofread, and support advanced research and analysis or technical program assistance work, to include but not limited to data analytics, data visualization, and dashboarding.
- Provide expertise and implement changes for visual representation of statistical data and information, including tables, graphics, visualizations, and other statistical elements. Support the editing and proofreading of the interpretation of data and analysis that uses various methods, techniques, and visualizations.
- Provide general communications support, communications-related data, and analytic support, and organize workshops, as necessary. Employ effective and innovative practices in managing assigned research projects, including appropriate review, report style, design of tables, visualizations, and related tasks following agreed upon schedules. Participate in regular coordination meetings. Work with NCSES to ensure standard version control practice.
- Coordinate external expert/agency substantive review of publications. Provide comprehensive and thorough quality assurance of publications, products, deliverables, and other documents as necessary including but not limited to data checking, reference checking, fact and information checking, and proofreading, for example. Other analytic, research, coordination, writing, project management, and publication support activities as needed. Rewrite and/or modify written content from writers. Develop a content calendar. Develop ideas for content.
- Oversee content production. Support development of content and materials for NCSES print book composition. Compose and design presentations, reports, analyses, research, summaries of projects, and other content as assigned and according to a schedule of deliverables; following established guidelines, respond to reviews and assume responsibility for production oversight as directed for print book composition. Employ effective and innovative practices in managing assigned projects, including appropriate review, style, design, visualizations, and related tasks following agreed upon schedules.
- Participate in regular coordination meetings. Work with NCSES to ensure standard version control practice. Provide comprehensive and thorough quality assurance of deliverables and other documents as necessary. Final deliverables are expected to adhere to 508 compliance guidelines, as furnished by the COR. Contribute substantive expert writing, editing, idea development, and publication structure.
