Job Details
Overview: Currently seeking an experienced BAS Project Manager in Arkansas that can lead and manage the successful execution of complex DDC control system projects in commercial buildings.
Responsibilities:
- Lead project planning, execution, and implementation as assigned.
- Collaborate with Engineering to develop project submittals and drawing packages.
- Manage project timelines with the Project Management Team.
- Maintain and update project schedules.
- Regularly report project progress to the assigned Sr. Project Manager.
- Submit weekly reports to Management.
- Organize and maintain project contract documents.
- Manage project submittals for approval and oversee the approval process.
- Proactively identify potential project issues and take corrective action.
- Communicate cost impacts, change orders, and RFIs to the Project Coordinator promptly.
- Review Bill of Materials and submittals for accuracy.
- Coordinate installation with subcontractors and resolve installation challenges.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to the project team.
- Review, load, and test system databases.
- Oversee project commissioning and startup.
- Prepare project closure reports and handle project closeout activities.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, subcontractors, and trade personnel.
- Adhere to company safety standards and prioritize employee and subcontractor safety.
- Perform preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacements, and modifications as needed.
- Stay updated on product installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair.
- Offer technical support and basic training to customers.
- Provide technical assistance to technicians and project management team, aiding in their technical training and qualifications.
Requirements:
- 5 years of project management experience in HVAC and building automation systems, or equivalent
- Thorough understanding of programming requirements for DDC systems
- Skilled in interpreting blueprints, project plans, and technical documents
- Comprehensive knowledge of peripheral device operation, installation, and servicing
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, capable of identifying issues and implementing cost-effective solutions
- Advanced proficiency in computer usage
- Ability to provide successful technical and managerial training
