Job Title: Project Manager - Bridge Construction

Location: Southeast Pittsburgh

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager with experience in bridge construction, particularly in bridge foundation and steel bridge construction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing complex bridge projects and possess the technical expertise to oversee all aspects of construction.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage all phases of bridge construction projects, including planning, design, procurement, construction, and closeout.
2. Coordinate with clients, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to develop project plans and ensure alignment with project objectives.
3. Lead the preparation of project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans, and monitor progress against established goals.
4. Procure materials and equipment necessary for bridge construction, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with specifications.
5. Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, address any issues or concerns, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
6. Lead project meetings, including kickoff meetings, progress meetings, and closeout meetings, and effectively communicate project status updates to stakeholders.
7. Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, RFIs, and submittals, and ensure all records are accurate and up-to-date.
8. Collaborate with design and engineering teams to resolve technical challenges and ensure project specifications are met.
9. Implement quality control measures throughout the construction process to ensure the structural integrity of bridge components.
10. Provide leadership and mentorship to project team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management or project engineering, with a focus on bridge construction, including experience in bridge foundation and steel bridge construction.
3. Strong understanding of bridge construction methods, materials, and techniques.
4. Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
6. Knowledge of industry regulations, codes, and standards related to bridge construction.
7. Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
8. Willingness to travel to project sites and attend meetings as required.
9. Professional certifications in project management or civil engineering are desirable but not required.
