We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-skilled Permanent Project Manager - Automation to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on innovative projects that will revolutionize the manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of automation projects, from conception to completion. This involves managing resources, coordinating with various teams, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. You will also be tasked with identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure the smooth execution of automation projects.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage and oversee the full project lifecycle for automation projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure.
2. Develop detailed project plans, including scope, budget, and schedule, and monitor project performance against these plans.
3. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible and will meet the objective.
4. Identify potential risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies, and manage the resolution process to ensure projects remain on track.
5. Lead and motivate project teams to achieve project goals and ensure a high level of performance.
6. Develop and implement effective communication plans to ensure all stakeholders are kept informed about project progress and outcomes.
7. Ensure all project documentation is accurate, up to date, and properly stored.
8. Work closely with the product development team to understand and implement project requirements.
9. Evaluate the success of each project against its benchmark and share lessons learned and best practices across the organization.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
3. Proven experience in managing automation projects, with a strong understanding of product development.
4. Excellent leadership, team management, and motivational skills.
5. Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
6. Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a knack for identifying potential risks and implementing effective solutions.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
8. Proficiency in project management software tools.
9. PMP or equivalent project management certification is an advantage.
