Job Details
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to join our team. This role is crucial in leading our projects from inception to completion, ensuring the highest quality and safety standards are maintained. The ideal candidate will be an expert in managing all aspects of a project, including preconstruction, scheduling, cost control, contract management, and more. They will be a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of business development and negotiation in the construction industry.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage all aspects of construction projects from ground up, including preconstruction, scheduling, cost control, and contract management.
2. Develop and maintain strong relationships with architects, subcontractors, and clients to ensure smooth project execution.
3. Oversee the preparation and issuance of project communications, such as RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
4. Utilize Plangrid or similar software for effective project management and communication.
5. Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business objectives and ensure project profitability.
6. Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients and subcontractors, ensuring the best possible terms for the company.
7. Create and manage comprehensive project schedules, ensuring all milestones are met on time and within budget.
8. Lead and motivate project teams, promoting a culture of teamwork, accountability, and excellence.
9. Make informed decisions based on project data, resolving any issues or conflicts that may arise during the construction process.
10. Read and interpret blueprints, ensuring all construction activities align with design specifications.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a project manager for a commercial general contractor.
2. Proven experience with preconstruction, scheduling, cost control, and contract management.
3. Strong understanding of the construction process, including RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
4. Proficiency in Plangrid or similar project management software.
5. Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful business development.
6. Strong strategic planning and decision-making abilities.
7. Exceptional communication and team leadership skills.
8. Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
9. Experience working with architects and commercial general contractors is a plus.
10. Demonstrated ability to manage projects from the ground up, ensuring timely completion and quality standards.
