Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the planning and execution of construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining the scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget, and timing.
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear manner.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure adherence to engineering standards and specifications.
- Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.
- Monitor project progress continuously and make detailed scheduled reports on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables.
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements.
- Control project costs to avoid any potential overruns.
- Ensure all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local and state regulations are met.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- Proven work experience of 2+ years as a Project Manager in the Commercial Construction industry.
- Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in construction management.
- Proficiency in project management software tools.
- Excellent knowledge of design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD.
- Competency in conflict and crisis management.
- Excellent time and project management skills.
- Ability to read blueprints, structural drawings and plan sets.
- Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
- Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong leadership and team building abilities.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
- Experience with project $10 Million and larger
