About the Job
Responsibilities:
Project Support:
- Assist the Project Manager in the day-to-day operations of electrical construction projects.
- Help in coordinating and tracking project activities, timelines, profitability and deliverables.
- Maintain project schedules, ensuring that deadlines on time, notifying PM if any concerns.
- Support the preparation of project budgets and cost tracking.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare and organize project documentation, including plans, specifications, and permits.
- Maintain accurate records of project expenditures, change orders, and RFIs
- Assist in the preparation of project status reports and meeting minutes.
- Ensure that all project documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
- Assist in managing procurement for materials and electrical equipment required for the project.
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Monitor that work is being done according to safety protocols and regulatory guidelines.
- Act as a point of contact between the project team, subcontractors, and clients.
- Coordinate project meetings and help in communicating project updates to stakeholders.
- Assist in resolving issues or delays that may arise during the project.
Assist in quality control checks to ensure electrical installations are meeting project specifications and standards.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Experience:
- Prior experience in construction project coordination or assistance, particularly in electrical or related fields (1–3 years preferred).
- Familiarity with electrical construction processes, tools, and systems is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and project management software (e.g., Sage 300 or Foundations).
- Knowledge of electrical codes and safety regulations is beneficial.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- Occasional local travel may be required.
- Physical demands may include occasional lifting up to 20 lbs.
