Position summary: This is a key management position requiring supervision and coordination of day-to-day project operations. The Project Manager will be responsible for the completion of the project by planning, organizing and maintaining projects; completing quality inspections; and supervising sub-contractors and staff on time and within budget. Project Manager performs any and all other duties as necessary, but not otherwise specified. Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions. Individuals with diverse commercial, industrial, ALDOT experience desired. Responsibilities: - Ensures the safety of crew members and the public who may interact with job.
- Calculates the number of trucks required to haul asphalt from the plant according to vehicle capacity, traffic conditions, distance from work site, and productivity of drivers.
- Drives job sites to assess progress in meeting time schedules, to detect insufficient utilization of workers and equipment, ensure slope and material thickness to verify compliance with contracts, and to supervise the job.
- Supervises and coordinates crew activities, studies production schedules, and estimates work requirements for completion of job assignment in compliance with or beating the job estimate.
- Trains/assists new crew members.
- Maintains time and materials records necessary to complete daily job costing, prepares progress reports material used, cost and adjusts work schedule accordingly.
- Maintains and enforces company policies.
Requirements: - MUST have at least two years of experience as a Project Manager in asphalt paving road work construction projects .
- Must have experience working for the Department of Transportation
- Must be experienced in scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, and production of all phases of roadway construction
- MUST be able to stand for multiple hours a day

- $90,000-$115,000 (Depends on Experience)
