Advanced Wiring Solutions of Alsip, IL is a successful low voltage specialty contractor in the south suburbs of Chicago looking to add an Estimator/Project Manager to our team. We offer an excellent compensation package starting at $85,000 annually with a health insurance package, transportation compensation and 401k plan with matching contribution.
Since 1999, our company is a local leader in the installation and maintenance of various types of Low Voltage Systems and Solutions. We work on a wide range of custom projects – voice, data, fiber optics, closed circuit TV, tenant entry, card access, and audio visual. It’s a fast paced industry and your ability to multi-task will be tested.
Our atmosphere in our office is very casual and the solid growth of our company affords a hard working Estimator/PM consistent challenges and rewards. We are looking for a person who takes pride in their work.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate leads and recommend projects for bid.
- Overseeing the full lifecycle of a project, from developing competitive project estimates to communicating effectively with technicians, contractors, and owners, to ensure every solutions is planned, designed, estimated, and built in accordance with industry standards.
- Accurately estimate and effectively procure all materials, schedule manpower, complete project documents on time and within budget.
- Project Kick off with customer and AWS installer reviewing schedule, manpower and all relevant aspects of the project.
- Issues change order request if any additional work or work outside the original scope as requested by the customer. Estimates the labor and material costs, and submits for authorization to proceed.
- Liaise with Lead Installer to insure superior customer service, safety standards and productivity are being met.
Qualifications/Skills:
- 3 years’ experience with project estimation and project management.
- Recent construction management college grads encouraged to apply.
- Broad knowledge of Structured Cabling, CCTV, Access Control, Audio-Visual, and various other low voltage systems.
- Ability to read blue prints and perform in-depth take offs.
- Organization and scheduling skills – must meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
- Ability to communicate with existing and potential customers.
- Microsoft office proficiency
- Must pass background investigation to obtain PERC Card.
- RCDD a plus
