Project Manager - Scientific Research Corporation
Alexandria, VA 22311
About the Job
Seeking an experienced Project Manager to directly support the DoD and the modernization of U.S. hypersonic test and evaluation infrastructure.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Department of Defense (DoD) Test Resource Management Center (TRMC) plays a critical role in support of the warfighter. Recently, the United States has accelerated its efforts to develop air vehicles that travel at hypersonic speeds (greater than Mach 5 or approximately 3,000 miles per hour). To enable these systems, the TRMC has funded several major projects and has established a project management team to modernize hypersonic test infrastructure. The duties described in this job description are critical to enable the project management team to oversee the execution of these projects. This is a newly established effort and as a founding member, the ideal candidate would be excited to play a significant role in creating the team that enables program success.
Under the direction of the Project Lead, the Project Manager will:

* Serve as the primary point of contact (along with the Government COR) with each project performer.
* Establish and maintain good relationships with the performer’s execution team and work to resolve conflicts early and positively.
* Own project-level Risk, Issue, and Opportunity (RIO) Management, including planning, identification, analysis, control, and monitoring across the project life cycle.
