About the Job
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Coordination: Plan and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring accurate documentation and responsiveness to client needs.
- Software Proficiency: Learn and effectively use AET's software tools, including Dynamics, ADP, Spectra Quest, Microsoft 365, Adobe Acrobat, and Egnyte, to manage daily tasks.
- Field Training: Accompany engineers and field technicians on assignments to understand our service lines, how proposals align with fieldwork, and the process of report writing and client communication.
- Proposal Development: Learn to read and interpret project specifications, test methods, and plans to develop accurate job proposals.
- Client Interaction: Communicate directly with clients, write proposals, and manage projects with expedited timelines.
- Scheduling: Coordinate site visits and report deadlines with technicians and engineers, ensuring timely project delivery.
- Collaboration: Work with project managers and engineers across various departments to schedule and manage staff for remote work opportunities.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by responding to emails, website inquiries, and phone calls promptly.
- Invoicing: Assist with monthly project invoicing and support senior project managers with billing tasks.
- Field Documentation: Help document and deliver field specimens to laboratories and review site visit reports, project reports, and laboratory tests.
- Quality Assurance: Assist with quality assurance audits, manage equipment calibrations, and track staff certifications.
- Compliance: Conduct all activities in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, along with AET's QA and Health and Safety Policies.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience: 1-3 years of full-time project management experience or 3+ years of full-time work experience in any profession/industry.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, strong communication skills, ability to work independently and within a team, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of fundamental engineering or scientific principles and the ability to apply them to the job.
- Experience in data analysis, field observations, and reading plans or blueprints.
- Technical writing skills for conveying complex information to diverse audiences.
- Willingness to learn new procedures, equipment, and software.
Work Environment:Primarily office-based with field visits and external meetings, especially during the first year.
Work Authorization:Must have authorization to work in the United States. The position is subject to a pre-employment drug test.
Physical Demands:The role requires regular physical activity, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
