Project Geologist - Professional Service Industries Inc

Intertek PSI, is searching for an Project Geologist to join our Building & Constructionteam in our Schenectady, NY office. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in the architectural, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) industry!

What you'll do:

• Directly responsible in the management of projects which may include various hazardous materials, such as petroleum, PERC, oils etc. at commercial / industrial facilities
• Managing Environmental Site Assessments - ASTM Phase I/II Experience
• performing & Managing soil, groundwater and soil vapor intrusion assessments
• Self-performs or directs junior staff in the installation of soil borings, monitoring wells, remediation activities, waste management and disposal, and other field requirements using standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Interact with State Agencies such as DEC and DOH
• Assists with proposal development and report writing.

• A Bachelor's degree or higher in Geology, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering or a related discipline is required
• 4-6 years of environmental consulting experience required
• Working knowledge of NYSDEC & DOH soil, groundwater and soil vapor regulation/guidance required
• OSHA 40 hour HAZWOPER Training is required
• P.G. / P.E. registration is preferred
• Must be detail-oriented, and a team player with excellent communication, analytical, organization, and time management skills
• Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record (required)
