Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure safety and health, environmental, and community relations procedures are in place and followed
- Supervision of geologic staff
- Completes and supervises the collection of geologic mapping, sampling, RC chip and core logging, geologic data compilation/synthesis and interpretation, and geologic modeling to support targeting
- Interpret ATV/OTV Televiewer data and apply to drill targets
- Design and execute exploration programs with minimal supervision
- Review and provides feedback on technical and project proposal, and ensures adherence to best practices
- Ensure data integrity and implementation of QAQC procedures
- Ensure projects have clear and appropriate decision points and that they are adhered to
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and on budget
- Ensure key stake holders are kept up to date on project progress
- Prepares and presents annual budget material
- Deliver regular progress reports and presentations
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Geology or related field required, Masters preferred
- 3-7 years of experience in mining/mineral exploration
- Demonstrated commitment to a safe work culture, ability to work safely, and completion of projects in an environmentally responsible manner
- Ability to follow company policies and procedures and ensure fellow employees/contractors follow company policies and procedures
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Self-starter that can prioritize heavy workload and work with minimal supervision
- Excellent oral and written skills, team leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Possess a high-level of organization and attention to detail with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Competence in mineralogy, structural geology, with field experience
- Experience in geologic mapping, sampling, logging, sectional interpretation, and modeling
- Knowledge of Carlin-type systems
