A leading commercial general contractor in Baltimore, Maryland, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Executive to lead and grow its office operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing multiple construction projects, managing teams, and driving business development initiatives. This role requires a strong background in construction management, leadership skills, and the ability to foster client relationships while ensuring operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Leadership
- Oversee a portfolio of commercial construction projects, including additions, renovations, and new builds.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards.
- Provide strategic direction to project managers and field teams to achieve project goals.
- Manage risk by addressing project challenges proactively and implementing mitigation strategies.
2. Office Management & Growth
- Lead the Baltimore office’s operations, including staffing, resource allocation, and performance management.
- Develop and execute strategies to expand the office’s market presence and revenue.
- Foster a collaborative work environment that promotes innovation and efficiency.
- Mentor and develop junior staff to build a strong leadership pipeline.
3. Client Relations & Business Development
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, architects, and other stakeholders.
- Identify new business opportunities and lead efforts in securing contracts.
- Represent the company at industry events, networking opportunities, and client meetings.
4. Financial Oversight
- Develop project budgets and ensure financial targets are met across all projects.
- Approve invoices, change orders, and other financial documentation.
- Monitor cash flow projections and ensure proper cost controls are in place.
5. Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations, building codes, and company policies.
- Provide regular progress reports to senior management on project performance and office operations.
- Oversee the preparation of project documentation for closeout.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale commercial construction projects successfully.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients and internal teams.
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to identify growth opportunities for the office.
