Project Estimator- Specialties - Quality Facility Specialists, Inc.

The Estimator will analyze multiple documents to prepare and provide bid proposals to customers for various construction projects.

This position reports to the Sr. Project Manager.

· Analyze project plans and documentation to gain a thorough understanding of the project

· Preparing an accurate bid proposal using takeoff software

· Working with vendors and manufacturers to obtain best pricing within specific time frames

· Discerning costs and labor for multiple scopes of work within a project

· Building and maintaining relationships with customers and vendors

· Preparing and sending RFI’s to customer to resolve specification or design issues

· Maintains proposal log and ensures proposals are sent timely by due date

· Actively pursues bid proposal results to gain knowledge of competitiveness

· Practices judgement in determining the necessity of competitiveness among project bids

· Works with Project Managers at award to ensure transition of project

· Assists and collaborates with team members

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software

· Ability in architectural plan reading

· Basic understanding of specifications and ADA compliance 

· Ability to remain flexible and efficient in a fast-paced environment

· Ability to work well under pressure and effectively multitask

· At least two years of construction experience preferred

· Bachelor’s degree preferred

· Experience with On Screen Take-Off and Building Connected

· 2+ years of experience in Division 10

· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
