System One is seeking a Project Engineering Manager to develop the scope of engineering work, schedules, and budgets for assigned project elements, and monitors progress to meet schedule and budget requirements. This is a great opportunity to join a respected client in the semiconductor industry!

Important Details:

• Contract-to-hire opportunity with possibility of conversion to a permanent role after 520 hours worked.

• Pay rate range: $70 - $75/hr. Salary will be commensurate with experience.

• Start date: 03/25/25

• Work schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

• Weekly pay

• Benefits after 30 days (health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, etc.)

• 401k after 30 days

Project Engineering Manager specific responsibilities:

• Develops the scope of engineering work, schedules, and budgets for assigned project elements, and monitors progress to meet schedule and budget requirements. Identifies and documents changes in scope.

• Assists in determining the scope of procurement work, schedules, and budgets for assigned project buyouts, monitoring progress to maintain those procurements.

• Interfaces with procurement and subcontract personnel to facilitate the bid process.

• Coordinates the utilization of interdisciplinary technical personnel on the project with other Project Engineers.

• Coordinates the assignment of personnel from other technical support groups within the company.

• Assists the Project Manager in planning, directing, supervising, and controlling the execution of the project or study's technical, fiscal, and administrative functions. Assists in determining the technical skills and staff hours required for the successful completion of the project.

• Ensures client criteria and scope are met by all engineering disciplines. Expedites distribution of action items following discussions/meetings with the client and Project Manager.

• Prepares technical reports and documentation of activity for the client and project management.

• Obtains, analyzes and circulates technical and contractual information to project disciplines.

• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

• Contributes to the development of innovative engineering principles and ideas.
   

Project Engineering Manager skills and competencies

• Proven ability to perform in a supervisory/managerial capacity.

• Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations.

• Ability to work in and lead multi-discipline teams, to follow through and close out all work-related items, to clearly deliver work instructions in a complex stakeholder environment.

• Must possess a thorough knowledge of current technology and the capabilities and efficiencies of specific engineering software for use in completing engineering assignments.

• Experience with design of large industrial projects and understanding of multiple-discipline coordination requirements.
   

Project Engineering Manager education and experience requirements

• 4-year Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.

• 15+ years of related work experience, including supervisory/managerial experience.

• Professional Engineer registration preferred.
