We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Project Engineer with experience in Utilities to join our thriving team. This role is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong background in utilities, and a proven track record in project engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design, planning, and implementation of utility systems for our construction projects.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Project Engineer - Utilities, you will:
1. Lead the planning, design, and implementation of utility systems in various construction projects.
2. Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure the utility systems are integrated seamlessly into the overall project design.
3. Prepare and present detailed reports on the progress of the utility systems implementation.
4. Conduct feasibility studies for proposed utility systems, considering factors such as cost, sustainability, and project timeline.
5. Ensure all utility systems are compliant with local, state, and federal regulations.
6. Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise with the utility systems during the project lifecycle.
7. Implement risk management processes to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks associated with the utility systems.
8. Collaborate with the project management team to ensure the utility systems are completed on time and within budget.
9. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to utility systems in construction.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Project Engineer - Utilities position will have:
1. A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in project engineering, specifically within utilities in the construction industry.
3. Proven experience with government projects is highly desirable.
4. Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to utility systems in construction.
5. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
6. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
7. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to a variety of stakeholders.
8. Proficiency with engineering software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Project.
9. Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
