What You'll Be Doing
- Lead Design and Analysis Tasks: You will oversee structural design and analysis, applying advanced engineering principles to develop innovative solutions for complex projects.
- Develop Comprehensive Design Documentation: Create and review detailed structural design drawings and BIM models, ensuring compliance with industry standards and integrating innovative concepts.
- Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work closely with project teams, including owners, architects, and contractors, to ensure successful project delivery. Foster strong professional relationships and provide valuable insights across different facets of the construction process.
- Demonstrate Commitment to Excellence: Exhibit a strong commitment to quality and innovative problem-solving in all aspects of your work. Proactively identify challenges and develop creative solutions to enhance project outcomes.
- Effective Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication through well-organized verbal and written interactions, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and aligned throughout the project lifecycle.
- Iterative Design Integration: Actively participate in the iterative design process, integrating feedback and evolving project requirements to continually refine and improve designs.
- In-Person Collaboration: Work primarily in person with a minimum expectation of four days per week in the San Francisco office. Engage directly with the team to collaborate, learn, and contribute to a dynamic and supportive work environment.
Who We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering; a master's degree is preferred.
- At least three years of relevant full-time structural engineering experience, demonstrating strong technical and organizational abilities.
- PE (Professional Engineer) license required or a clear plan to obtain it within six months once eligible.
- Extensive experience with Revit and other industry-standard design and analysis software.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information effectively.
- Proven ability to lead and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think critically and creatively, developing innovative structural solutions to complex problems.
- A proactive attitude toward teamwork and demonstrated willingness to learn, adapt, and thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Duties are primarily conducted in a standard office setting, requiring prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or computer table.
- Occasionally, may be required to lift objects weighing up to 15 lbs.
- Occasionally visiting project locations and performing field inspections, which may involve walking, standing, kneeling, or navigating uneven terrain.

Compensation
The base salary for this role is competitive and will be determined based on the candidate's experience, education, and skills. The expected base salary for a qualified candidate with 3-6 years of experience is $8 5,000 - $1 1 0,000. Additionally, we offer performance-based bonuses to recognize and reward outstanding contributions in each Reporting Center.
