**Job Summary:**
The Project Engineer plays a vital role in supporting Project Managers and Superintendents by coordinating project activities to ensure adherence to cost, schedule, document control, and quality standards. As directed by the Project Manager, the Project Engineer gradually assumes additional responsibilities related to the project.
**Responsibilities:**
- Adhere to the company’s mission and vision while carrying out all duties.
- Coordinate daily activities among Project Managers, Superintendents, and Subcontractors.
- Ensure proper documentation is in place before project commencement.
- Assist in organizing and participating in pre-construction meetings.
- Familiarize oneself with the Owner contract terms and conditions.
- Collaborate in disseminating project schedules and aiding in schedule development.
- Facilitate the acquisition of necessary permits as per Project Manager's requests.
- Review project drawings and specifications to understand critical path items and long lead times.
- Evaluate and compare subcontractor bids, conduct scope reviews, and assist in procurement processes.
- Establish and maintain a project submittal log, manage and process submittals to the owner.
- Develop project meeting agendas, attend and document weekly project meetings.
- Generate, submit, and track RFI’s, and communicate with project team members.
- Review project logs including RFI’s, Submittals, and CO’s during team meetings.
- Monitor submittals, track material deliveries, and verify compliance with plans and specifications.
- Obtain and distribute coordination drawings from subcontractors.
- Document subcontractor changes for Project Manager review.
- Conduct quantity take-offs as requested by the estimating team and Project Manager.
- Review, categorize, and compare invoices for accuracy against cost forecasts.
