Position Overview
The Project Engineer supports the Project Manager and Superintendent to ensure the successful completion of construction projects. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, maintaining project documentation, and providing technical support to keep projects on track, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects.
- Prepare and maintain project schedules and track milestones.
- Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Review and process submittals, RFIs (Requests for Information), and change orders.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and company standards.
- Conduct on-site inspections and assist in quality control efforts.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation and records.
- Support procurement efforts, including material and equipment purchases.
- Facilitate communication between all project stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience:
- 1–3 years of experience in construction project management or engineering (commercial and/or residential).
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, MS Project).
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Familiarity with project management principles and safety standards.
- Certifications: OSHA 10/30, LEED accreditation, or PMP (preferred but not required).
