Job Summary: We seek an experienced and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial for overseeing and aiding in the design of telecom, TSS, and light construction projects. The successful candidate will be instrumental in planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to OBO guidelines, on time and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Engineer will also oversee project quality control throughout its life cycle
Location: Reston, VA, with OCONUS travel to project sites

Ideal Skills, Certifications, and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in project/design engineering, preferably in telecommunications, technical security systems, and light construction industries.
Certifications:
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is preferred.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar design software.
Knowledge: Solid understanding of DoS OBO Building Standards and familiarity with Federal Government contracting.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties:
Project Management:
- Aid in the planning and oversight of the project process of various telecom, TSS, and light construction projects from start to finish.
- Manage project schedule, submittals, and resources to meet deadlines consistently.
- Coordinate efforts with other engineers, architects, and clients.
Technical Execution:
- Perform non-routine and complex assignments from verbal instructions and under minimal supervision.
- Review, analyze, and resolve design/construction problems as required.
- Establish and modify project schedules to ensure timely completion.
Communication and Reporting:
- Provide real-time data and work progress reports to the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) on a weekly basis.
- Maintain effective communication and good relationships with clients and team members.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements.
- Comply with safety, quality control, and building codes as well as legal requirements.
Salary Range:
- $60,000 to $80,000 annually, dependent on experience and qualifications.
