Position – Project Engineer
Technical Responsibilities
- Perform planning, studies, inspection, and construction engineering with a transportation focus in support of highway, bridge, and transit rail
- Conduct structural design, inspection, and construction engineering of bridge structures
- Prepare and check design calculations and plans
- Load evaluation of existing bridges
- Build analytic and design skills through application of educational knowledge and job training
- Conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design of new bridges utilizing pre-stressed concrete, reinforced concrete, structural steel and timber components
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S., or B.A.) in Civil Engineering or related field
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Structural design software RISA 3D, Leap Bridge software packages
- Autocad, MicroStation, and Open Roads
- TxDOT bridge design tools and STAAD Pro is a plus
