PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION
The Project Engineer role is responsible for ensuring all necessary permits and utility coordination are in place for generator installations. This role requires attention to detail in creating accurate generator drawings and spec sheets, managing the permit submission process, and coordinating with local municipalities and utility companies to ensure a smooth installation process.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Detail Generator Drawings and Spec Sheets:
- Create and detail accurate generator drawings and specification sheets for each installation project.
- Ensure all drawings meet local code requirements and are ready for submission to municipalities.
Submit Permits:
- Prepare and submit permit applications to local municipalities for generator installations.
- Ensure all necessary documentation is included with each submission.
Follow Up on Permit Status:
- Regularly follow up with local municipalities to track the status of submitted permits.
- Update permit statuses in the Go High Level system to reflect progress or approvals.
Schedule 811 Locates:
- Coordinate 811 locates for underground utilities at job sites.
- Ensure locates are scheduled at least 4 days prior to the pre-installation team’s trenching activities.
Schedule Utility Seal Cuts:
- Schedule utility seal cuts for all electrical meters required for generator installation.
- Ensure seal cuts are scheduled 2 days prior to the installation date to prevent delays.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of all permits, drawings, and utility coordination activities.
- Provide regular updates to the operations team on the status of permits and site readiness.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training preferred.
- Experience in permitting, utility coordination, or related fields is a plus.
- Familiarity with Bluebeam Revu software is a must! Please do not apply if you have not worked in Bluebeam Revu before.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Familiarity with Go High Level software.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Working Conditions:
- Office environment with occasional site visits as needed.
- May require occasional travel to local municipalities or job sites.
Compensation:
