Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer or a Project Engineer ready to transition into a Senior role to join our team in the Phoenix Metro Area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare and medical new construction projects, a passion for precision, and a collaborative approach to delivering high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of healthcare construction projects, ensuring alignment with client goals and regulatory requirements.
- Manage project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and schedules, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to maintain progress and resolve challenges.
- Support project budgets, forecasts, and schedules, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Monitor compliance with safety regulations, infection control risk assessments (ICRA), and industry standards specific to medical construction.
- Assist with procurement of materials and equipment, maintaining cost efficiency and timely delivery.
- Oversee quality control processes, ensuring construction standards meet or exceed client expectations.
- Participate in project meetings, providing technical insight and updates on project progress.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in construction project engineering, with a focus on healthcare/medical facilities preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience managing documentation and workflows in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Strong understanding of healthcare construction protocols, including ICRA and specialized building systems.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project).
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
