Job Summary:
Responsible for overall project documentation and communication/supports the Project Manager and Project Superintendent and others while managing field job(s).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support Safety program.
- Support Project Manager, Project Superintendent and others as necessary.
- Review, submit, distribute and track project submittal information/requests.
- Participate in client meetings as well as authorities and owners.
- Communicate with superintendents and help prepare look ahead job schedules.
- Prepare correspondence and reports.
- Maintain job file(s) with correspondence & photographs.
- Maintain current drawings on Procore.
- Maintain RFI, Submittal and change logs.
- Work close with Architects distributing ASIs and update drawings electronically
- Coordinate with Project Estimator on all extra work.
- Develop minor field estimates and negotiate small deals in the field.
- Trouble shoot issues for Project Manager and Superintendent.
- Other project specific duties, coordination, communication, etc. as required from project start up through completion of warranty items.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
There are no immediate Supervisory responsibilities; however, Project Engineers will interact with closely with Superintendents, Field Foremen and Field Crews.
Min Qualifications:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Four-year College or technical school and/or training with a minimum of 5 years related construction experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CRITICAL TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook
- Proficiency in Bluebeam
- Proficiency in Timberline/Sage and Procore
- Ability to read and understand project drawings/plans and specifications
- Ability to operate standard office machinery (i.e. fax, copier, computer, etc.)
- Ability to multi-task and manage several different activities at a time

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, contracts, specifications or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions within groups of managers, clients, investors, customers, and the general public in the English Language.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry and surveying.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Special Requirements: Must be able to pass controlled substance tests prior to and at all times during employment.
