Job Summary:
The Project Engineer is responsible for supporting the machine shop operations for projects. The primary responsibility will be to ensure the Shop Supervisors and machinists have the materials, equipment, and information necessary to complete the job. The Project Engineer is ultimately responsible for understanding and aiding in accomplishing the requested scope of work on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reports.
- Assist drafters in developing the structural design of products, using drafting tools or computer-assisted drafting equipment or software.
- Provide feedback to design engineers on customer problems or needs.
- Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, or other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, or maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
- Estimate costs or submit bids for engineering, construction, or extraction projects.
- Reviews, plans, and determines the viability of potential construction projects.
- Identifies labor, material, and time requirements from construction plans and related documentation.
- Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.
- Submits requests for quotes to vendors.
- Presents prepared estimates by combining numerical data and descriptive information in a clear, concise proposal.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree is required with 1 years' experience in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience:
- Knowledge of rotating equipment and elements highly preferred
- 3-5 Years Experience in a fast paced, equipment repair/machine/fabrication setting.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, Penta, Microsoft Outlook, and CAD
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
- Must be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Possess a strong attention to detail.
- Organized with a high attention to detail.
Work Location and Travel:
- 2730 Mine and Mill Road, Lakeland, FL.
Work environment:
- Must be willing to work nights overtime when necessary.

Exposure to work: Considerable time will be spent in processing environments indoors. Environments can be loud, dusty, hot, or cold.
