Project Engineer

Our client is seeking a Project Engineer to join a growing team in Houston, TX. This role offers the chance to work on impactful civil construction projects, including large-scale site infrastructure, underground, and road work.

Location: Houston, TX (Greenspoint area)
Reason for Hire: Growth due to new projects
Salary: Up to $130K with full benefits
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM or 7 AM–4 PM (flexible), weekends as needed

Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing project plans as directed.
• Interpret and review construction plans and specifications.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and vendor/subcontractor solicitations.
• Monitor project site progression and report updates.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager, Superintendent, and field teams to roll out projects effectively.
• Prepare submittals for required construction approvals.
• Analyze job cost data for accuracy and address discrepancies.
• Generate billing quantities using field information and contractual requirements.
• Support and promote a safe work environment following company policies.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of project management experience.
• Proficiency in Bluebeam, Adobe, and HCSS systems.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Stability in previous roles (minimum 4 years per position preferred).
• Experience in pre-construction is highly valued.
