Job Summary:
The Network Project Engineer will be responsible for managing, coordinating, and implementing projects across multiple mining sites within the company’s operational network. This role involves ensuring seamless communication, efficient resource allocation, and standardized processes across a geographically distributed footprint. The engineer will oversee project planning, execution, and monitoring, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to meet organizational goals and deliver impactful results.
Responsibilities:Project Planning & Coordination
• Design and implement project plans for operations across multiple locations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Collaborate with site teams to define scope, objectives, deliverables, and resource needs for each project.
• Develop and maintain a master schedule to manage multiple projects within the broader operational network.
Multi-Site Integration
• Standardize and streamline project workflows across various locations to ensure consistency.
• Facilitate communication between sites to share knowledge, resources, and best practices.
• Serve as the central point of contact for project-related queries across the network.
Resource Management
• Coordinate the allocation of manpower, equipment, and materials across multiple sites to avoid resource conflicts.
• Identify and resolve logistical challenges impacting project delivery.
• Work with procurement teams to manage vendor relationships and supply chains.
Monitoring & Reporting
• Track progress and performance metrics for projects across the operational network.
• Conduct site visits to monitor compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.
• Generate detailed reports on project status, risks, and outcomes for stakeholders.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
• Work closely with engineering, operations, safety, and environmental teams to align project goals with company objectives.
• Engage with local community stakeholders to ensure project support and address concerns.
• Lead regular meetings with site managers and corporate leadership to provide updates and gather feedback.
Risk Management & Compliance
• Identify potential risks to project timelines or budgets and develop mitigation strategies.
• Ensure all projects adhere to regulatory standards and company policies, including safety and environmental guidelines.
• Monitor and address challenges specific to remote or harsh environments.
Qualifications:Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in project engineering, preferably within mining, construction, or industrial environments.
- Proven track record managing multiple large projects across geographically dispersed locations.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent).
- Familiarity with mining operations, processes, and equipment is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations in mining or industrial settings.
