Position OverviewWe are seeking a Project Engineer with a background in heavy civil construction to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinating with Superintendents to comply with project goals and expectations
- Assist with Contract Compliance & Administration
- Submittal Management
- Subcontractor Management
- Assisting Project Managers with cost controls and project changes
- Process RFI's and Change OrdersProject Closeout Documentation
- Undergraduate degree in construction-related field of engineering or comparable work experience preferred
- Ability to read and understand project owner specifications and engineered drawings
- Work independently as well as part of a team
- Highly motivated with a strong work ethic and passion for excellence
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Solid organization/time management skills
- Must have computer experience using Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience with Vista Viewpoint and HCSS Heavy Job is a plus
- Monday - Friday with some weekend work available
