Project Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to oversee and manage engineering projects from conception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the project are executed efficiently, meeting industry standards and client specifications, particularly in the retail and education sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate engineering projects focusing on civil design and land development.
• Prepare and review project designs using AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to determine project requirements and objectives.
• Ensure compliance with local permitting and regulatory standards, including NWRD, IEPA, and IDOT regulations.
• Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor project progress and quality.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and project team members.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil engineering, specifically in retail and education projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
• Knowledge of land development practices and permitting processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
